Indeed, an Environment where Parents and Children can feel safe and cared for - A HOME AWAY FROM HOME!
Our 3-year-olds are at the age when they question EVERYTHING. In our pre-school daycare, we use their inquisitive minds to help them develop further, using their natural curiosity to teach them.
We also use positive reinforcement and the Golden Rule to encourage listening, sharing, taking turns, and cooperation with each other: building these social skills is critical to success in the classroom. We engage in circle time each day, during which we talk about the weekly theme, share stories and songs, and expand our learning as a group. Each Brainiac is expected to participate in circle time for a minimum of 10 minutes per day - this develops the ability to remain focused and sustain attention, which will help prepare them for the Pre-K classroom next year.
Our unique, age-appropriate pre-kindergarten program exposes our Brainiacs to science, math, arts, language, and other skills in the most creative ways, all in order to help them progress in Pre-K. They will also be working to develop skills in areas such as counting, sorting, creating patterns, and identifying some printed words.
Developing literacy skills in preparation for Kindergarten is one of the primary goals of our Pre-K program. To reach this goal, we infuse math and/or literacy activities into each of the learning centers. We also engage in circle time each day during which we learn about the theme for the week, share stories and songs, and expand our learning as a group. Each Brainiac is expected to participate in circle time for a minimum of 20 minutes per day, improving their ability to remain focused and sustain attention, as this will help prepare them for Kindergarten.
We are thrilled to offer a cooking class for our children, as we believe that cooking encourages children’s thinking, problem-solving, and creativity!
There are also endless benefits of getting children involved in cooking, these include:
Social-Emotional Development: Hands-on cooking activities help children to develop their self-confidence, and by following recipes children are encouraged to be self-directed and independent.
Physical Development: Fine motor and eye-hand coordination skills develop by chopping, mixing, squeezing, and spreading.
Cognitive Development: Cooking encourages children’s thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, as it offers the opportunity for children to use the knowledge they have and apply it to activities throughout their day.
Language Development: Cooking offers the opportunity to develop language development by linking it to all other areas, including Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts, and Literacy. This is done by encouraging children to talk about their actions, counting, and watching materials change color, texture, and medium.
At Brainiac Babies, we believe that education can be obtained not only within the confines of four walls but also through outdoor activities thus we also host summer camps to provide a unique opportunity for children to engage in fun and educational activities during the summer months.
We offer a wide range of activities such as outdoor games, sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, drama, and more for a chance to learn new skills, develop friendships, build self-esteem, and gain independence. Children can learn to work in groups, follow instructions, and solve problems, all while having fun and making memories.
With this program, Parents are surely given a convenient and reliable option for their children's summer activities, while also ensuring they continue to receive quality care and education.
